David R. Glezerman is the founder and managing director of The DRG Group, which provides training and consulting services to both the higher education and accounts receivable management industries. David was the assistant vice president and bursar for Temple University, where he was employed for 33 years and had overall responsibility for billing, collections, and management of student finances. Previously employed by the Community College of Philadelphia, he created the college’s student accounts and loan collections program. David brings 40 years of higher education receivables management and has 48 years of progressive experience in accounts receivable management and leadership.
A nationally renowned speaker and author of several articles and books on collections, student receivables, and customer service, Glezerman has presented at numerous higher education and collection industry conferences and workshops. The founding chair of the National Association of College and University Business Officers’ (NACUBO’s) Student Financial Services (SFS) Council, David was awarded the association’s initial Student Financial Services Award in March 2018 after receiving the association’s Professional Development Award in 2010.
A co-author of Managing and Collecting Student Receivables, Glezerman is often cited in numerous higher education and collection industry publications for his views on educational debt, collections and customer service delivery. Glezerman also has served in leadership roles with various higher education organizations including the Coalition of Higher Education Assistance Organizations (COHEAO) and the Institute for Student Services Professionals (ISSP). David also twice served as a non-federal negotiator in US Department of Education negotiated rulemaking proceedings and consulted with the US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) on its Partnership Program to assist participating health professions schools.
Glezerman also spent 18 years as a certified instructor for ACA International, the association of credit and collections professionals. A past recipient of ACA’s Member of the Year and instruction-related awards, Glezerman also earned ACA’s Master Credit Executive (MCE) designation and was honored by ACA with an honorary life membership.
